2014 National Fellowship Conference
5:00AM (EDT) - Friday, May 09, 2014
11:00AM (EDT)
Event Details
Begun in 2000, the Miller Center Fellowship program funds scholars completing dissertations that employ history to shed light on American politics and public policy, foreign relations, and the impact of global affairs on the United States, media and politics, and the role of the presidency in shaping American political development. A fundamental objective of the fellowship program is to nurture cutting edge scholarship, and the Miller Center pairs each fellow with a “dream” mentor, a leading scholar in the fellow’s field, with whom they collaborate during the fellowship year. The Fellowship has become one of the most prestigious awards a young scholar working in the fields of modern American History and Political Science can attain, and alumni of the program currently hold tenure track positions at the leading universities in the United States.
The annual spring conference brings the fellows together with their mentors to present the fruits of their fellowship year. You can read more about the fellows and their projects here, or click the links below to specific panels to read a sample of their work. If you would like to attend any of the panels listed below, please RSVP to mc-fellowship@virginia.edu.
