Event Details
Mark E. Williams, M.D., the Ward K. Ensminger Distinguished Professor of Geriatric Medicine at the University of Virginia School of Medicine, considers aging from multiple perspectives. Just as the four blind men in the familiar parable drew inconsistent conclusions about an elephant while touching its legs, tail, tusks, and trunk, people experience aging in a variety ways and understand it according to personal experience.Williams shows how to understand aging holistically.
