Jeff Cherry's career spans more than 25 years of executive leadership in roles including CEO, hedge fund manager, entrepreneur, and consultant. As a thought leader in the areas of stakeholder management and Conscious Capitalism®, Jeff formed Concinnity Advisors, a hedge fund focused on investing with a holistic, long-term value mindset. Jeff was previously the co-head of research for a multi-billion dollar hedge fund based in Stamford, CT and was a founder and CEO of Lloyd Lamont Design, Inc., a management, architecture, and technology consulting firm. Jeff received his Bachelor of Architecture and Master of Science in Architecture degrees from The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. He has also completed extended executive study courses at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

R. Edward Freeman is University Professor and Olsson Professor of Business Administration, and an academic director of the Institute for Business in Society at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. Freeman has a PhD in philosophy from Washington University and a BA in mathematics and philosophy from Duke University. He was recently awarded six honorary doctorates (DHC)—in economics from Comillas University in Madrid, the Hanken School of Economics in Helsinki, and Leuphana University in Germany; in management from Radboud University in Nijmegen, Netherlands, from Sherbrooke University in Canada, and from Tampere University in Finland for his work on stakeholder theory and business ethics. He has worked with many executives and companies around the world, and his writing on stakeholder theory has been translated into many languages. 

Glory Liu, lecturer on social studies at Harvard University, focuses on political theory, intellectual history, and political economy. Her first book, Adam Smith's America: How a Scottish Philosopher became an Icon of American Capitalism (Princeton, 2022) is a reception history of Adam Smith's ideas in America. Her current research includes a public opinion study on the diversity of moral objections to inequality in America and a text analysis project on economic ideas in American political debate. Prior to Harvard, Liu was a postdoctoral research associate at Brown University's Political Theory Project. She received her PhD from Stanford in political science in 2018, and holds an MPhil from Cambridge University in political thought and intellectual history and a secondary degree in classics. She completed her BA in political economy and classics at the University of California, Berkeley.

Scott Miller, a research fellow at the Miller Center, is lecturer and research associate at the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia. From 2019 to 2021, he held a postdoctoral fellowship in economic and business history at the Yale School of Management’s International Center for Finance. As an economic historian, Miller examines the development of modern economic systems, particularly during periods of instability and volatility. He is the author or co-author of numerous scholarly papers on economic history, financial crises, and the interplay between societal and economic change. He also has written or co-written 10 case studies on financial crises and economic development.
