THE REV DR. GEORGE REGAS is the rector emeritus of All Saints Church in Pasadena, Ca. Regas serves as executive director of the Regas Institute, which is dedicated to the study and examination of progressive religion. Recently, he formed the Progressive Religious Partnership, in collaboration with People For the American Way, which seeks to put the progressive religious voice back into the dialogue on politics and morality. During his 28 years at All Saints, Regas led the congregation to oppose the Vietnam War, the escalating nuclear arms race, and the Gulf War.
