The Collapse of the Soviet Union: A Roundtable Discussion on the Twentieth Anniversary

Event Details

Why did the Soviet Union collapse in 1991?  What role did domestic and international factors play in the collapse?  What have been the consequences of the collapse for the international community, the Soviet successor states, and the peoples of the former Soviet Union?  These and other questions will be the focus of this roundtable discussion featuring four University of Virginia faculty experts.
