Charles Peters, founding editor of The Washington Monthly, is an alumnus of the University of Virginia School of Law. His recent book, Five Days in Philadelphia: The Amazing "We Want Willkie" Convention of 1940 and How It Freed F.D.R. to Save the Western World was hailed by Todd S.
