Douglas Brinkley, the director of the Eisenhower Center and professor of history from the University of New Orleans, discusses Jimmy Carter?s post-presidential legacy. After giving several anecdotes explaining Carter?s rise to national status, Brinkley moves to Carter?s presidential legacy. Brinkley argues that despite Carters the political naivet?, his many accomplishments are impressive. He discusses the Carter Center, and his relationships with various political figures now that he is no longer president. During the questioning session he answers queries on the Center?s financial support, the budgeting of the Center, former presidents and the possibility of Cater becoming the UN secretary general.When
