Wendy Sherman is a principal of The Albright Group, an international advisory firm. From 1997 to 2001, she served as counselor of the State Department. During that time, she also served as special advisor to the President and Secretary of State on North Korea, and as Assistant Secretary of State for legislative affairs. As a chief troubleshooter to two secretaries of state, Ambassador Sherman's portfolio included Asia, the Middle East, Central America, North Korea, Russia and Cuba, as well as transnational issues.
