RONALD G. DIMBERG is director of graduate studies at the University of Virginia’s Corcoran department of history. His fields of interest focus on Korea and traditional China. He is the author of “The Sage and Society: The Life and Thought of Ho Hsin-yin” (University Press of Hawaii, 1975); and co-editor, “Ming Studies: A Directory,” (Taipei, 1968).
