Event Details

Last December, the Trump administration released its National Security Strategy (NSS) outlining the administration’s top foreign policy priorities. These include the restoration of America’s economic competitiveness, border control, managing threats posed by rogue regimes, and more. In the months since the publication of the NSS, there have been new developments in America’s relationship with Iran, North Korea, Russia, and China, as well as significant shifts in White House staffing—including the replacement of National Security Advisor H. R. McMaster. This program will bring together Michael E. O'Hanlon, senior foreign policy fellow at the Brookings Institution, and Miller Center Faculty Senior Fellow John Owen for an expansive conversation on Trump’s foreign policy strategy. What does it all mean for America’s new role in the world?
