Dr. Sayari is the executive director of the Institute of Turkish Studies (ITS), a private, nonprofit educational institution that promotes scholarly research on Turkey in American universities. He also teaches at Georgetown University?s School of Foreign Service, where ITS is located. Dr. Sayari currently serves as the chairperson of Turkish Area Studies at the U.S. State Department?s Foreign Service Institute.
