Winton M. Blount (1969–1971)
Winton Blount was born in Union Springs, Alabama on February 1, 1921, and served in the United States Army Air Force during WWII. He later formed the Blount Brothers Corporation of Montgomery, Alabama. Blount was also elected president of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in 1968.
During the Nixon administration, Blount was U.S. postmaster general from 1969 to 1971. Winton Blount is on the board of trustees of the University of Alabama and the National Industrial Conference Board, and he is a past director of the National Association of Manufacturers.
