The Miller Center offers a variety of employment and internship opportunities for graduate and undergraduate students. Any openings in the future will be posted here.

Academic year internships

  • The Director's intern will work directly with Miller Center Director & CEO, William J. Antholis, and the executive office starting part-time during the spring semester (as early as March 2025, depending on availability) and starting full-time (up to 40 hours per week) in June 2025. Primary responsibilities include conducting research, writing briefs, and drafting remarks for the Director. In 2025, a central focus of this internship will be to support research and planning for the Miller Center’s second Conference on the American Presidency (building on the first conference held in 2023), which will bring together senior government officials, scholars, and journalists in September 2025 to explore ideas to support a more responsible and effective American presidency. The anticipated dates of this position are March 10, 2025, to August 15, 2025.

Alumni

Hundreds of students have worked at the Miller Center since its founding in 1975. They have contributed significantly to the work produced here in a variety of ways—from compiling briefing binders on former officials being interviewed for Presidential Oral History Programs and transcribing and annotating tapes in the Presidential Recordings Program to conducting research for our scholars.
